Another Resource Center was established in Balkh province, in the Directorate of Literacy Department in Mazar-e-Sharif City.

These Centers are intended to provide lasting stimulus toward the enhancement of literacy by facilitating public access to a collection of books, magazines, and other textures alongside the internet facilities, on existing literacy approaches and teaching and learning materials that can be used for training functions as well as improving the knowledge about the literacy.

The availability of relevant resources will help improve the operational competence of important actors in the national literacy sector and promote the reshaping of literacy training as a task that cuts across all aspects of society.
